Our Co-Founders

Led by experts with deep expertise in leadership development, psychological safety, communication skills, behaviour change, and mental health, ConnectedLe is driven by a commitment to real-world impact. Get to know our leaders, Kylie and Nicole.

Australia’s prevention-first expert in psychological safety

Dr. Kylie Armstrong builds organisational capability to prevent psychological harm before it occurs. With over 25 years driving innovation and system change across healthcare, education, pharmaceutical, and tertiary sectors, Kylie understands the unique pressures facing people-focused organisations,  and recognised that most lack the internal capability to prevent psychosocial risks early.

The BEACH framework emerged from this insight: a proprietary, evidence-based methodology integrating Safe Work Australia psychosocial risk standards, occupational wellbeing research, and organisational systems change. It translates complex regulatory requirements into practical training that builds lasting prevention capability, not external dependency.

Kylie’s doctoral research and 30+ peer-reviewed publications established her expertise in mental health, behaviour change, and translational research. Her career spans primary and acute care, life sciences, and all levels of education – bringing deep understanding of the pain points health and education professionals face.

Renowned for leadership development and organisational change expertise, Kylie co-designs sector-specific solutions that equip leaders and teams with practical skills to identify and prevent psychological harm early.

As co-founder of ConnectedLe, Kylie translates research and sector experience into science-backed training that prevents harm before crisis – empowering those who lead others to build genuinely psychologically safe, connected, and thriving workplaces.

Connection, love, and compassion are at the heart of everything Nicole Evans does. As a connection and communication expert with more than three decades of leadership across education, health promotion, and curriculum design, Nicole has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. Her expertise spans the writing, implementation, and facilitation of Problem-Based Learning and Communication Skills programs that cultivate empathy, critical thinking, and collaboration in clinical practice.

A passionate advocate for interdisciplinary learning, Nicole has led Inter-Professional Learning (IPL) initiatives across multiple Allied Health disciplines. She has designed innovative pedagogy and curriculum that bring healthcare students together, strengthening communication between professionals and enhancing patient care. Her teaching style is deeply interactive and reflective, grounded in mindfulness, active listening, and compassion.

Nicole brings this deep expertise to her role as co-founder of ConnectedLe, where she leads curriculum development and communication strategy. She designs experiential learning programs informed by lived experience, neuroscience, and evidence-based practice, with a strong focus on psychological safety. Her ability to translate complex emotional and interpersonal concepts into practical, accessible content is central to the success of the ConnectedLe Lived Experience Model.

As a celebrant of love and grief, Nicole has walked alongside individuals and families through life’s most profound moments. This experience has given her a rare and authentic insight into resilience, meaning, and human connection.
